Course Content
The foundation year is designed to support students who may not hold the standard qualifications or background to enter this field. This helps students develop their academic skills and understanding. In addition to these, you are also introduced to key concepts, skills and techniques which are required to develop your chosen pathway and course further once you have completed your foundation year. This helps set you up to complete your undergraduate with the level of knowledge you will require to develop your basic understanding further.

This course is designed to help develop your critical awareness of the human behavior to explore the mental processes and their reasonings. The course also dives into the key concepts within the psychology field such as social and developmental psychology, health, research methods, crime and business. Through these concepts, you will be able to combine your understanding of theory based knowledge with evidence based approaches to explore life events in the global and national levels. Overall, this course helps you develop you understanding within this field to enable you to pursue psychology related career opportunities and study further into postgraduate.

Whilst undertaking this course, you will be studying through a mixture of different teaching strategies such as lectures, seminars, tutorials and online sessions. This will vary depending on your chosen course and university.
