The foundation year is designed to support students who may not hold the standard qualifications or background to enter this field. This helps students develop their academic skills and understanding. In addition to these, you are also introduced to key concepts, skills and techniques which are required to develop your chosen pathway and course further once you have completed your foundation year. This helps set you up to complete your undergraduate with the level of knowledge you will require to develop your basic understanding further.

Through the LLB Law route, you will be able to take your first steps in becoming a solicitor or barrister. The course is designed to help aid you in the next stage of training you will require. The course also helps equip you with academic and practical aspects of the law which can be transferred into key skills in other occupations and sectors of society.  Upon completion of this course, your career progression opportunities range from soliciotr, barrister, paralegal, legal aspects within banking, government, teaching, e-commerce and social.

 

Whilst undertaking this course, you will be studying through a mixture of different teaching strategies such as lectures, seminars, tutorials and online sessions. This will vary depending on your chosen course and university.

The course is a 3-4 year course (4 years with foundation year).
